This article takes you through a tour with Ptl. Murphy, 23rd Precinct on a summer night in June 1948.
The 2-3 Precinct’s Station-house was located at 177 East 104th Street in Manhattan and was bounded by the confines of “E. 116th St from Fifth Ave., to East River, to East 86th St., to both sides of Fifth Ave. to 100th St., center line of Fifth Ave., to East 116th St., place of beginning.”
It was a different time, but the same job. Enjoy the read!
